Michelle Ward's Crusade

I have been reading Michelle Ward's blog for some time now. She is a wealth of creativity and inspiration. Each month she offers up a challenge to anybody and everybody. This month, I decided to join in. It seemed simple enough, start a page with a black background. I can do that!

Ok, a few hours later, and my journal entry is done. It NEVER has even remotely ever turned out how I  imagined. I hope one day my skills will improve and I will be able to get from mind to paper. Nonetheless, I  very much like what came out.

I think this is fantastic! I love the colors and writing and how I can't really read it which brings a mystery and sadness from the words that I can read. The colors are beautiful and blended well. What mediums did you use to create this?

Dawn - thanks for coming to play! This is a fabulous page! LOVE how everything looks over the black. Love the abstractness. Thanks for sharing with the team and being the first entry to get us going!

WOW! The yellow in the top right jumps right off the page at me. Stunning. What was the yellow - gel pen maybe? I think the whole page works really well.
Like your new name btw Michelle ;-)

Hello Dawn,

you MAY be proud of your page !! It turnes out very, very nice . I immediately said WOW when I saw the page you made !
I like the colors you used on the black and the writing in the middle and the scribbles...

Have you been one of the students of Julie Prichards " Layer love" ? Your work reminds me of her online class.

greetings from Belgium
Inge

Hi Dawn ! I think this visit to the Dark Side is awesome ! I know that frustration of getting something from your mind onto the page very well but going with the flow of this page turned out beautifully. I especially love the scribbles of confusion.
Great job Crusader !
